Quoted $1700 for an electrical inspection. Was promised 3 guys for timeliness, got 2. Asked to have the outlets updated as it was posed to me that they were out of date and not as functional; considering all the outlets were being reno'd anyways, figured it wasn't a huge issue. So, 2 days in and out became 3. My hot tub wiring, instead of being disconnected as requested as I didn't currently have a hot tub, was completely removed. I have a light switch that now does nothing. Grand total was $3400. I guess outlets and switches (couple dozen each, roughly 3-8$ per) somehow cost an extra 1700?
Owner was willing to compromise after I complained (because who wouldn't when the price doubles) and he Graciously dropped the bill $200. When I have a hot tub reinstalled do you think they are going to come rewire it?
